1. Who provides Decision Diary

Decision Diary is provided by Aj Escaño. These terms cover official application builds, the promotional website, and materials in the official repositories. Read these terms before using the application. If you do not agree, do not use it; you can export your existing diary before uninstalling. If you cannot enter an agreement under the laws where you live, obtain approval from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Free use and copyright

Copyright © 2026 Aj Escaño. All rights reserved in original application and website code, design, and branding. You receive a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to install and use official, unmodified builds for lawful personal or internal use. There is no subscription or account requirement.

This is proprietary software, not an open-source license. Except as permitted by applicable law, an upstream license, GitHub's platform terms, or written permission, you may not copy, modify, redistribute, sublicense, sell, or create derivative works from the proprietary code or materials. You may share official download links and unmodified promotional screenshots with attribution and a link to the official website. Do not imply endorsement or remove ownership notices. Public repository visibility does not grant a general reuse license; GitHub's platform rights remain unaffected.

Third-party software, models, fonts, and their notices remain governed by their own licenses. These terms do not restrict rights those licenses grant. See the app's Licenses screen and repository third-party notices.

3. Your diary and your choices

You retain your rights in the journal content you create. Using the app does not transfer ownership of your writing to Aj Escaño. You are responsible for the material you enter, your decisions, and access to your device. Do not use the app or public support pages unlawfully or disclose another person's private information without authority.

4. AI reflection

The optional companion processes journal context on your device. It can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable responses. It does not make decisions for you and is not professional medical, legal, financial, or other advice. Review responses critically. Model availability and performance depend on your device. You can disable AI and continue writing personal notes.

5. Storage, backups, and access

The diary is stored locally. Protect your device and choose strong passcodes and backup passphrases. App-lock credentials and optional encrypted backup archives are encrypted; the journal database itself uses Android app-private storage without a separate application-level encryption key. Plaintext exports are readable by anyone with file access.

Keep your own backups before updates, reinstalls, or clearing storage. Exported files are outside the app's control; a storage provider you choose may synchronize them online. Forgotten passcodes and backup passphrases cannot be recovered by Aj Escaño. Uninstalling or clearing app storage removes locally stored entries. Android may prevent updates signed with a different key; export before reinstalling.

6. Preview builds and warranties

Public preview builds are for early use and testing and may contain bugs. Features, model performance, and compatibility may change. To the extent permitted by law, the application and website are provided "as is" and "as available," without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, error-free behavior, or recovery of lost data. To that same extent, Aj Escaño is not liable for losses caused by reliance on generated reflections or failure to maintain backups. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that the law does not allow to be excluded.

7. Changes and third-party hosting

Material changes will be identified by a new effective date or document version and included with an app update or website update. Review the terms supplied with the version you use. GitHub hosts the website, repository, release downloads, and support issues under its own terms and privacy practices. No third-party terms replace your non-waivable legal rights.
